A message from the Head of School…

I hope all of our families had a lovely half term with their children and enjoyed the different celebrations such as Halloween and Bonfire night.

There is only 6 weeks left until we break up for Christmas! On the newsletter are some important Christmas Dates for you to be aware of. Please can I remind everyone that parent/carer consultation meetings are next week and the late night meeting is Wednesday 13^th November 3:00-6:45pm. There is still time to make an appointment with your child’s class teacher.

Next week we will be sending out some information to all our families on how to keep your children safe online. We will be sharing information about Facebook, Tick Tock and WhatsApp. Please look out for these letters in your children’s book bag.

Come and Sing for St Leonard’s Hospice!

Young people from all schools in York are invited to come and be part of this very special performance for the St Leonard’s Hospice “Light up a life” ceremony in St Helen’s Square in York on Sunday 1^st December at 6pm. There are no auditions and no advance skills needed-they are looking for young people who enjoy singing together in a group who like the opportunity to represent the youth of York through song. Young people need to be able to attend the following:-

SUNDAY 24^TH NOVEMBER and SUNDAY 1^ST DECEMBER 2PM-4PM

Rehearsal sessions, will take place in the John Cooper Studio Theatre, 41 Monkgate York YO31 7PB

SUNDAY 1^ST DECEMBER-LIGHT UP A LIFE CEMEMONY

Children In Need

On Thursday 14^th November 2019 we will be taking part in Children in Need. We are asking all children to come in non-uniform and wear something spotty. We would be grateful if our families could make a small donation to the charity on Thursday, such as 50p or a £1.

Friday 15^th November: School closed for training day

Friday 29^th November: Christmas Fair 2:00-4:00pm

Wednesday 4^th December: Christmas Lunch

Wednesday 11^th December: Year 1-5 Christmas Carol Concert at St Thomas’ Church 1.30pm

Tuesday 17^th and Thursday 19^th December: Early Years Nativity Performance 9.45am in the upper hall.

Wednesday 18^th December: Santas Grotto and Reindeers

Friday 20^th December: 11:15am Christmas Assembly and Winner of Haxby’s Got Talent performance. School closes at 12 for Christmas.
