A message from the Head of School…

It was an absolute pleasure to see so many of our families at our Betty’s Tea Party. We were overwhelmed with how many parents and carers attended the event. Next time we will ensure we have plenty of cakes and scones for everyone to enjoy!

The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and singing Yorkshire songs at the party. We would like to say a huge thank you to the children and staff for organising such a special occasion.

We would also like to say thank you to all the parents and carers who attended the Early Years Inspire Mornings. The children really enjoyed showing their parents and carers their learning and as a school we valuable the support you provide to your children.

Dates for your calendar

Parent Consultation Week: The meetings with your child’s class teacher will take place during the week 11.11.19-14.11.19. Letters will be handed out after half term.

School Ends for half term: 2.00pm 25.10.19

Road Safety

Please can we remind all our families to use the zebra crossing near the entrance to school when crossing the road. You might feel that pedestrian crossings are safe, but they can still be dangerous for children if they don’t take care.

Remember to:

• explain that pedestrians have to wait on the pavement until all the traffic coming from both directions has stopped – only then is it safe to cross.
• tell your child it’s important to keep looking and listening while crossing, in case a driver has not seen them
• warn your child to watch for cyclists or motorcyclists who might not have seen them.
