A message from the Head of School...
Hola, we hope all our families enjoyed their Easter break and managed to enjoy the Easter sunshine. It was lovely to see some of our families taking part in the 4Family Easter egg trail around
the local community. The children loved taking part in the free activities and the ace painting proved extremely popular. There were lots of eager bunnies running around looking for eggs!
This week, all the children have been busy taking part in our ‘Madrid week.’ They have all thoroughly enjoyed practising their Spanish and learning about their culture. It was a pleasure to see
so many of our families at the Spanish Café, sampling the Spanish delicacies and listening to the authentic Spanish music. Micklegate have been studying the cubist artist Juan Gris and
have composed and sketched their own still life. Please see our Haxby Road facebook page to see the children’s learning during Madrid Week. We would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Sudullah and our Spanish students, Irene and Sara for organising the wealth of Spanish activities. Today, we say bye to Irene and Sara as they go back to Spain to continue their studies as a teacher. We would like to say a huge thank you to them for all their hard work and the children have loved working with them. We wish them all the best.
