EYFS Termly Newsletter
We would like to welcome back all our returning families and all our new families. We are looking forward to a very exciting year full of opportunities and experiences for the children!
This half term we are all learning about All About Me!
Our class stories will include:
From Head to Toe (Tiny Steps)
I Like Myself (Nursery)
Only One You (Reception)
Drop off and collection Reminders
Tiny Steps – Both drop off and collection is through the Community Café. Tiny Steps begins at 8.30am and finishes at 3pm. If you have older siblings in the school they will be brought down to you by Mrs Suter on days when you have to collect from Tiny Steps. For safeguarding reasons, we cannot allow parent access through into the EYFS unit from Tiny Steps and after dropping off your Tiny Steps child you must walk around to the main school entrance.
Nursery – For both drop off and collection we now invite parents to come into the classroom, via Early Years playground, using the ramp. If collecting, please ensure you wait until Miss Flinton or Mrs Cammidge have brought your child to you. On Wednesdays, the 11.30am collection point will now change to the Tiny Steps entrance via the café. This will also be the drop off point for any children arriving at 12.30pm. Please remember to check your child’s tray to collect any letters.
Reception – Both drop off and collection points for Reception are via the Early Years playground. In the mornings, for this term we are inviting parents to bring their child into the unit to allow them to settle. After half term, we ask that the children line up outside the door at 8.40am and come in independently.
Please speak to a member of the team if you have any questions.
Thank you from the EYFS team.
