A message from the Head of School…
This week the children have been taking part in our STEM week challenges. Stuart Priest, the Scientist, came and explored the effects of gravity with the children. They really enjoyed taking part in the different STEM challenges. Please see our school Facebook page for more information and photographs.
Stephen Pass, author of ‘Madge the Mermaid’, visited Haxby Road this week. The children were enthralled by his stories of ‘Madge’ and how the book came to be. He shared the story of how he first met Madge the Mermaid and how this was the starting point for his book. He also amazed the children with a range of comedic poems based on real life stories and brought a number of resources to show the children, including: original manuscripts,
original illustrations, transformations of characters and sea shells. It was a fantastic experience for all involved.
We would like to wish you all a very happy half term.

It has come to my attention today that there is a new threatening internet challenge that has been found on Twitter,
Facebook and WhatsApp. It is called the MOMO CHALLENGE.
Please keep a very close eye on your child’s internet use and ensure they are not accepting this challenge.
