Haxby Road News 21.3.19

A message from the Head of School…

This week the school received a visit from Gill Williams, Headteacher of Dringhouses Primary School. She came to visit the school as part of her school improvement work with the local authority. Gill spent the morning observing teaching and learning across school. She was extremely impressed with the children’s learning and behaviour. We are so proud of how hard our children work and their enthusiasm for learning. They are a credit to the school.

As part of our Haxby Road 100 pledge, Fossgate went to the University of York. They took part in a range of scientific experiements and learnt how to be ‘Green Scientists!’ Please see the school facebook page for photographs of the young scientists in action. The Haxby Road 100 is a pledge for our children’s creative cultural and everyday entitlement which could include anything from inspiring teaching, school trips, visitors, performances and projects.
