A message from the Head of School…
I can’t believe we are at the start of our Spring Term, as it does not seem very spring-like in these extremely cold and icy conditions! We would just like to say a huge thank you to all our families for
ensuring your children come to school wrapped up warm and ready to learn.
We would like to update you about a new changes that will be taking place after our February half term.

All newsletters will be sent to parents through our new PARENT HUB. If you haven’t signed up
yet please see the reserve of this newsletter to see how to download the app. If you are having problems see the office staff for support.The school newsletter will also be uploaded onto the school website
each week.The school and children have decided to reduce our “paper footprint” in order to make a difference to the planet and the climate. This new change will also mean the school will be saving money and this additional money can be used to ensure your child/ children will receive the highest quality education and experiences. Attendance Update

Our School Target is 97%

This week our attendance was: 94.60%
The winners this week are… Micklegate
First Place: Micklegate with 99.52%
Second Place: Gillygate with 97.53%
Third Place: Stonegate with 97.10%

World Book Day is Thursday 7th March 2019

Competition Time… Dress the Spoon!
This year we will be providing all the children with a wooden spoon to dress as their favourite character at home. There will be prizes for the best dressed spoon!

Optional: If your child would like to dress up as their favourite character for
World Book Day, they can but it is not compulsory.

Red Nose Day Friday 15th March 2019
This year the school are supporting Red Nose Day. We are asking all children to wear something RED and make a small donation. During the day there will be lots of exciting and fun experiences for the children to do. We will keep you posted on these events nearer the time.
